Then put the weight of the car on the springs and set the pinion angle before welding the mount pads in place. Chevrolet’s second-generation F-body cars were produced from 1970 through 1981. The unibody structure, with front subframe, A-arm front suspension, and leaf springs to control the solid rear axle, have always fit into the dirt track rules and budgets. Just set them so your rear eye is in the center of the slot at ride height. You can even buy a weld in plate mount for them that has a couple sets of holes to reposition the slider fore and aft if it needs to be. They are certainely smoother than rubber bushings on shackles.
